Why a Radio Ministry?
Early in my adult life, I dabbled in politics. I worked to elect candidates of my choice. I eventually became a candidate. I learned one thing right away: there is no substitute for personal contact.
Your voice--the sound of another soul, another person finding his or her way through life, just like me. That's the power and promise of radio--and that's what ViewPoint harnesses for the gospel.
ViewPoint is the church's voice projected into houses, cars, workplaces, and moments that otherwise we'll never reach.
It's the voice of hope, thought, heart, and soul. It's a voice that invites people to think about God, and it opens the door for them to choose Christ.
It's the voice that gives them a telephone number to call twenty-four hours a day to ask questions about God, about their relationship with him, and how they can make that relationship what it should be.
ViewPoint is a voice that can build a bridge between people in your community and your local church. More importantly, ViewPoint can be a bridge that brings people to Christ.
Radio. If it works so well in politics, business, and entertainment, why not make it work for God too?
Sincerely,
Jim Lyon
