The History of Christians Broadcasting Hope

Speaker Asim Das directs the effort to reach the Oriya speaking people of India. Through CBH's broadcast, Satya Jyoti or True Light, over 22 million individuals have the opportunity to hear, in their native language, of God's love through the person of Jesus Christ. The Oriya ministry is supported by retreats, discipleship training and a variety of efforts to nurture listeners who have questions or make decisions to follow Christ.

CBH into Africa was launched during the fall of 1992. Listeners from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia are included in the current broadcast range of CBH Africa. In January of 1999, newly completed recording studios were dedicated in Kima, Kenya, at the Kima International School of Theology (KIST). KIST now serves as the home for CBH's Africa broadcasting initiative. Students are being trained and programming developed in an ever-increasing effort to reach the many people groups of the African continent.

Under the leadership of coordinator John Walters, CBH works as a part of the expanding Kingdom Ministries of Church of God Ministries.
The efforts you have just read about are primarily the result of generous donations and support from individuals and groups possessing a deeply rooted desire to teach the people of the world about the love of Jesus Christ. If you would like more information on any of these ministries or would like to make a monetary gift to these efforts please contact us.
