Meet ViewPoint Speaker Jim Lyon

 ViewPoint host Jim Lyon originally dreamed of a career in politics and found himself representing northwest Seattle as a member of the Washington State House of Representatives in the early 1980’s.  But, ultimately, it was the Christian ministry that claimed his heart.  Serving in the pastoral ministry in both the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, he has been Senior Pastor at Madison Park Church of God in Anderson, Indiana, since 1991.  Recognized as an articulate preacher, teacher, and motivational speaker, Jim was invited to help anchor the ViewPoint broadcast in 1996.  It is the conviction that Jesus is at work in this world--redeeming, transforming, and healing us--that has molded his life and vocation more than any other; helping people see Jesus at work in their world has become his life’s work.
