On January 31, a CBH Eye on the World Ministry Team headed to Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, to continue the progress toward launching a new French radio broadcast in the fall of 2008. This new French effort will allow CBH to begin reaching out to the more than twenty-two French-speaking countries on the continent of Africa.

CBH’s Logan Ritchhart  is leading the group, ministering among the Ivorians in the city of Yamoussoukro. The primary goals on this trip are to make sure that the new recording studio is set up and functioning properly and then provide training on the audio editing software that will be used in crafting the new CBH French radio broadcasts. The team is working closely with Pastor Daniel Ngoran, the speaker for CBH-French, and Issa Kouenaon, who will be the primary recording technician. These two men make up the core of the French CBH production team.

Members of the group are doing some light construction and finishing in the studio so that it will be ready for use once all of the equipment is up and running. They are also taking on some additional projects around the Church of God headquarters, where the studio is located. In the evenings, the group is participating in a spiritual emphasis week with a local congregation. This congregation has experienced some difficult times in the last few years and CBH hopes to help bring them some much-needed encouragement and spiritual support.

As the CBH team travels in Côte d’Ivoire, please pray for them. Pray that they will accomplish the goals set out for the group. But more importantly, pray that they will forge lasting relationships and be an encouragement to brothers and sisters in Côte d’Ivoire.
